Flooding in Oldham East and Saddleworth

Please do take care if you are in areas affected by the flooding in Oldham East and Saddleworth yesterday.


Significant issues affecting travel as follows (@13:15 on 22/11/2016):

Wellihole Greenfield – river Tame has burst its banks with potential structural damage to bridge – road will remain closed until further structural investigations take place today. An Engineer is on site undertaking a full structural evaluation this morning.

Beal Lane Shaw – Surcharging culvert, road now reopened.

Stannybrook Road, Woodhouses – Team on site now and should be open within the next two hours.

Tunstead Lane – wall damaged following culvert overflow – team on site.
