Supreme Court rules PM Johnson’s prorogation “unlawful”

The Supreme Court ruled today that Prime Minister Johnson’s act of proroguing Parliament from 9th September to 14th October is unlawful.

This decision is a victory for democracy. Parliament is sovereign not the Executive. On that basis, I will be back in Parliament tomorrow.

Johnson must now resign – he has been found to have acted unlawfully.

A summary of the judgment can be read here.
